Mark Wood has gone wicketless in two successive games in T20 World Cup 2024. In the previous 13 innings he bowled across all T20s since 2022, he never went wicketless.
David Warner: I think it’s a competitive total, we took it on in the first six overs and put pressure on them. We knew it was going to be spin in the first six, for us it was about to get as much as we can in the first six. We know at the other end it was going to get challenging, but look they got two out and out quicks, excellent skills, so had to put them on pressure. When Jofra bowled an off-cutter it jumped but it was when the ball was new, later on a few kept low, we have got a good total.

14:47 Local Time, 18:47 GMT, 00:17 IST: Handy contributions from everyone has ensured Australia have got a very good score. England went with two offspinners to the two left-handed openers and that move backfired as Australia got 22 off the 2nd over. Warner and Head had a great powerplay as England bowled pace on and paid the price.
