Alice Capsey: It was just about continuing the momentum Shafali and Meg had started with.. carrying the form from previous games and having some fun with Shafali. You practice a lot of different shots but picking the lengths is important. It is knowing your match-ups and then focusing on watching the ball. Probably the six off Nadine and the reverse (which shot she enjoyed the most). I have played tennis and squash as a kid, which helps me use my wrist while playing spin. We would have been pretty happy with 180-odd at the start of the game.

This was some serioous cricket from the Capitals, they started off slow, Shafali was dropped early,. Lanning couldn't get going, but Capsey' arrival saw them shuft gears. Shafali made RCB pay for the drop with a 30-ball 50 while Capsey made a 33-ball 46. RCB dismissed both of them in consecutive overs, but Kapp and Jonassen then made merry with exciting cameos as DC took the bowlers apart in the death overs. 7 bowling options used by Smriti and most of them were sent on a leather hunt. 195 is a massive total, but we've seen scores being chased at this venue.
