Kusal Mendis: We'll bat first. Looks like a dry pitch.
Pitch Report | Maharoof: It's hot and humid. Same pitch used in the first ODI. It looks on the drier side. Plenty of grass and cracks which are already shaking. The batters might be worried about it in the second half. There's no moisture. Spinners will get some purchase.
09:00 Local Time, 03:00 GMT, 08:30 IST: After going down 1-0 in the series, Sri Lanka bounced back in style in the second ODI. Hasaranga stole the limelight with the ball while Nissanka and Asalanka were the chief architects with the bat. Dew played a pivotal role in both the games – the chasing team coasted to victories despite losing three wickets in the first powerplay. But, the finale is a day game and the bowlers will breathe a sigh of relief as dew won’t be a factor. Both teams have an injury to deal with. Madushanka has been ruled out for Sri Lanka while Tanzim Hasan Shkib makes way for Hasan Mahmud in the Bangladesh squad. The pitches have been sporting in nature so far and we can expect the same today as well. Sri Lanka won the T20I series 2-1 and will be eyeing clinch the ODI series as well. Meanwhile, Bangladesh have a point to prove and we can expect them to come out all guns blazing. It promises to be a cracking contest. Stay with us as toss and team lineups will be announced shortly…
