That's all for this game. USA take a deserved 1-0 lead. They came out and played positively, signaling their intent and showing how the margins are very fine in the T20 game. Bangladesh seemed a bit stuck in T20 cricket from a bygone era - too conservative in the powerplay and struggling to get the big hits in the slog overs. A quick turnaround for both these teams who will be action once again on Thursday. We'll see you then, bye for now...
Harmeet Singh | Player of the Match: Great feeling. This is our home ground and we backed ourselves to take that advantage. We came out hard to not give Bangladesh a feeling that we a walkover. The way cricket is going, 12 an over is very reachable and I backed myself to score. Just needed to connect a few balls, and back ourselves till the end. I think we did a good job today of taking down their best bowler. Corey (Anderson) brings a lot of experience, he knows how to stay calm under pressure and finish off big games. We all look up to him.
Monank Patel: Credit goes to our spinners for bowling in the right areas and giving us a target we could chase down. They gave us crucial wickets and the left-right combination worked well. I think we started well but there were too many dot balls in the middle overs, that's something we need to work on. But credit to Harmeet and Corey for the way they finished things. I think we are building some good momentum, need to continue the same way.
Najmul Shanto: We didn't bat well. We started well but in the middle lost a couple of wickets. We needed to score more and then it could have been defended. We didn't play on good wickets in Zimbabwe, so the batters are struggling. But it is a mental thing and the batters can come back. The spinners bowled really well, our seamers didn't execute their plans. Hope they can execute better.
