Devon Conway: It was great to watch Faf (du Plessis) from the other end, it was a nice partnership with him. It's just a bruise, but it's all good. I think we wanted a little bit more after that kind of a start, around 180 minimum. Credit to their bowlers as they bowled nicely in the middle-overs and pulled things back. The support here has been fantastic. We appreciate all the support, we could hear it (the cheers) when Faf was batting.
21:13 Local Time, 02:13 GMT, 07:43 IST: That's a pretty challenging total posted by Texas Super Kings on an excellent batting surface. du Plessis smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground in the powerplay and the Texas captain notched up a quick fifty following the powerplay. Nosthush Kenjige was introduced into the attack in the 9th over and although the left-arm spinner proved to be expensive, he managed to break the opening stand by dismissing Faf du Plessis. The Texas captain looked to go big and was caught at long-on by Tim David. Conway also played a handy knock but he couldn't notch up his fifty despite batting till the 14th over as he was dismissed for 40 by Ehsan Adil. The Super Kings lost wickets in a cluster in the middle overs, however, Stoinis struck a few lusty blows towards the end and powered the Super Kings over the 175-run mark. For MI New York, Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers as he took a wicket and hardly gave anything away. Boult claimed a couple of wickets but he proved to be really expensive today. Can MI New York chase this down? Join us back in 10 minutes for the second essay to find it out..
