Teams:

Afghanistan (Playing XI): Riaz Hassan, Ikram Alikhil(w), Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi(c), Azmatullah Omarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Nangeyalia Kharote, Allah Ghazanfar, Fazalhaq Farooqi
Temba Bavuma: Would have batted first as well, the wicket is quite a bit on the drier side. Hopefully, we have get some spin early and restrict their scoring. We got stuck with the mystery spinner and we have had a few conversations on how to counter him. We bowled well, kept things nice and calm but weren’t able to get the wickets. Two changes for us.
H Shahidi: We’ll bat first. The wicket looks good and in the day time the ball comes on nicely. Hopefully, we’ll get more turn in the second innings. It is a credit to their skills, but I believe we will get good support in the second innings too today. I told the boys that let us win the series with another big game and good performance. Gurbaz is not playing today, Ikram Ali Khil comes in.
Afghanistan have won the toss and have opted to bat
03:00 Local Time, 11:00 GMT, 16:30 IST: We witnessed history in the first game where Afghanistan registered their first ODI win over South Africa. It was all down to the Afghan bowlers skittling out the Proteas for 106. Young Allah Ghazanfar was pretty impressive just playing his third ODI. He and Farooqi ran through the top order and finished with 7 wickets between them. Afghanistan have a rare opportunity to win a series against one of the top sides. Can they seal the win today? Wiaan Mulder was the standout for South Africa as his 52 ensured they crossed the 100-mark but the conditions were not ideal for the batters in Sharjah and that is something everyone will have an eye on today as well. What can we expect for today's game? We shall find out soon. But first the toss and team news, it shouldn't be long to get the update. Stay tuned
