18:15 Local Time, 07:15 GMT, 12:45 IST: It is derby day in Big Bash with the two Melbourne franchises facing each other at the MCG. Generally the derby games in BBL have not lived up to the hype and hopefully that is not the case today. Both teams come into this encounter in desperate need of a win, the Stars more so than the Renegades. The two teams finished in the bottom half of the table last season and find themselves there again with more than half the season done. The Stars recorded their first win after losing the first five games while the Renegades have two wins out of five. It is now or never for the Stars as they need to win their remaining games if they're to stay in contention for the playoffs. The Renegades too can't afford too many slip ups and have to get back to winning ways. The MCG hosted a thrilling Box Day Test and the fans will hope for something similar today. Bat flip and team news coming up..
