Jack Edwards to Mitchell Owen, 3 runs, to deep extra cover
Mitchell Owen and Caleb Jewell are at the crease. Mitchell Owen is on strike. Jack Edwards will open the attack
It's a sell-out crowd here at the Bellerive Oval.
Ben Dwarshuis: A win tonight secures a home final and hopefully we can get that done. It's great to see a sell-out here, it's surely going to be noisy for the Hurricanes but hopefully we can have a few quiet moments out there. (Key batter) In the first four overs, Mitch Owen has shown how destructive he can be especially on this ground. If we can find a way to get rid of him early, that'll be a good start for us. (Short square boundaries) You try to bring the top of the stumps into play. It's certainly a tough length to hit square. (On his batting) It's been nice, seeing the ball pretty well at the moment, nice to transition into that role this year. I still say that if I don't bat, then that's a good result for the team because that means the batters have got the runs. If I am needed then hopefully I can do it again.
Riley Meredith was rested against the Stars and he's back in the XI.

Sydney Sixers have won the toss and have opted to field
Steve Smith ensured James Vince's absence wasn't felt but Sydney Sixers' squad now looks depleted with the departure of Smith, Sean Abbott and Todd Murphy who have joined the Australian Test squad. So, they'll be forced to make three changes from the XI that fielded in the last two matches - an opener, a spinner and a pacer who could bowl at any stage. In the last three editions of the BBL, the Sixers finished second at the end of the group stage but they couldn't clinch the title. Can the three-time BBL champions find a way this time around? Let's find out. Promises to be an enthralling contest...
