Pratika Rawal: I was just going ball-by-ball, I was not thinking much in terms of whats shots to play, I was taking it one step at a time. I was a bit slow when I was in my 70s, that 20-30 runs came slow but I covered it up later on. (On Smriti Mandhana) It’s always a treat to watch her, she hit her shots with immense power, I don’t mind taking a backseat. There was not much going on in my mind, we wanted to cross 400 and we managed to post around 430, so that’s really good. I don’t think there’s any magic here, we are very comfortable with each other, we are not thinking about records, we are just taking it ball-by-ball and that’s making the difference (about her partnership with Smriti).
14:37 Local Time, 09:07 GMT, 14:37 IST: It was carnage from start to finish as India posted their highest ODI total. India had wrapped up the series coming into this game and that freed them up even more. The intent was set by the openers; they made the most of excellent batting conditions and an ordinary Ireland bowling attack. Smriti was dropped on 12 and Ireland were made to pay as India's skipper notched up her 10th ODI hundred. Pratika Rawal had been threatening to reach the three figure mark in the first two games and finally managed to get there. It was her maiden ODI ton and she was involved in two big partnerships with Smriti and Richa Ghosh. Ireland were better than the previous game when it came to the final 10 overs but the damage had been done. They might not fancy chasing this total but they would want their batters to bat out the overs and spend some valuable time in the middle.
