Sajid Khan to Brathwaite, 1 run, tossed up and drifting down leg, nudged behind square on the on-side for a single - Brathwaite off the mark on the second day
Brathwaite and Mikyle Louis are at the crease. Brathwaite is on strike. Sajid Khan will open the attack
It's the start of Day 2, but the West Indies openers are back out in the middle, just like yesterday morning. Will they put up a better show today? Pakistan will start with spin and it's Sajid Khan
'Yesterday was an incredible day with 20 wickets falling. The pitch has seen some development, closer to the bat, it's crumbling, but you can manage it. But the cracks are beginning to open up nicely, a few of them are on the verge of collapsing and if you land the ball on those areas, uneven bounce will come into play. The wickets fell to deliveries which were full and in the range of 75-77 kmph, it's a difficult wicket to bat on and should have enough for the spinners', reckons Bazid Khan, in his pitch report
09:00 Local Time, 04:00 GMT, 09:30 IST: Yesterday was a record breaking day in Multan as 20 wickets fell on the first day, the most in any day's play in Pakistan. It also meant that it was the first instance where both teams had completed their first innings on the first day of a Test in Asia. Noman Ali, who grabbed a hat-trick, became the first Pakistani spinner to do so and the ninth overall, but at the end of a fascinating day of cricket, it's the West Indies who've edged slightly ahead, having gained a slender 9-run first-innings lead. You wouldn't have thought of such a scenario when they had slipped to 54 for 8, mid-way through the first session, but the recovery was completely orchestrated by the bowlers. Gudakesh Motie, Kemar Roach and Jomel Warrican combined to score 116 of their first innings tally of 163 and then returned to disrupt Pakistan's attempt to gain a sizeable first-innings lead, by sharing 9 of the 10 wickets amongst themselves, the last wicket falling to a run-out. It was a crazy day of cricket and it has meant that we're in for another super early finish. Ther pitch itself wasn't unplayable, but the demons in the mind of both batting line-ups wasn't easy to miss. Will the bowlers continue to hold sway or will we get to see a good batting day today? Or will we see a 2-day finish? You can never count out anything
Gudakesh Motie - Firstly with the bat, I was trying to be patient and looked to score when the bad ball presented itself. We've worked on spin, we do use a lot of spin back home and I think I'm capable enough to bat against the spinners. (On the bowling plans) We knew it was a difficult wicket to bat, once we got it at the right area, it was difficult for the batters. I have been working with the analysts, they've put in the work and I was able to hit the areas today. Whenever you put pace on the ball, it would slide on and make it easier to score, so you needed to vary the pace and bowl slower. (On the second innings) Same approach, need to bat well, play each ball on merit and look to score off the bad balls.

Warrican to Sajid Khan, out Kashif Ali Run Out!! 68.5 clicks, a slow length ball onto middle stump, Sajid sweeps it towards short fine and there is a bit of hesitation amongst the batters for the single. Kashif Ali commits to running and hares through, but is still found a bit short of his ground. Sadly, he is out without facing a ball on his Test debut.
