Rizwan: We have an opportunity to make a good squad for the CT. We are experimenting.
Bavuma: We'll have a bat first. Just looking at the stats, that's what it leans towards. We spoke about that as a team, the key for us is to play our best cricket. A couple of changes, some additions to the squad.
Pakistan (Playing XI): Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan(w/c), Salman Agha, Tayyab Tahir, Khushdil Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah, Abrar Ahmed
South Africa have won the toss and have opted to bat
Pakistan announced their XI yesterday. A couple of changes. Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Hasnain come in for Kamran Ghulam and Haris Rauf!
South Africa fielded four debutants in Lahore as most of their main players who were part of the SA20 competition hadn't arrived. There's some reinforcement for this encounter. Heinrich Klaasen, Tony de Zorzi, Corbin Bosch, Keshav Maharaj and Kwena Maphaka have joined the squad. Matthew Breetzke registered a superb hundred (150 off 148) on debut as the Proteas posted a total in excess of 300 but their inexperienced bowling struggled to make an impact on a flat deck. Expect a few changes in the SA's XI. The winner will get to play another competitive ODI before the Champions Trophy and get acclimatized to these conditions. Karachi is the battleground and we could witness another high-scoring encounter. Stick around for toss and team updates.
