Will Jacks: We were more pleased with the win in Cardiff than we were at Birmingham. When you're on top from early in the game, it could be quite easy to keep going. But to fight the way that we did, we were very pleased with that game. (On his partnership with Joe Root) Very calm, that's the main thing. It was just over 20 overs left, we knew there wasn't an immediate rush, he was very confident, we had so much time and tried to take it as deep as possible. I just knew that wickets in hand was the crucial thing. (Batting at No. 7) Brooky mentioned it to me just before I found out, Baz (Brendon McCullum) confirmed it and I was really excited by it straightaway, I just had a think about how I want to play and I have really enjoyed it so far. When you're facing the new ball, you take your time and assess the conditions. When I go out now, the situation is played out for me, so I try to mentally get ready, try to rotate early and get off strike, help the guy who's already in. (On today's play) I have no idea about the weather, it's always guessing. It's an amazing ground, I am really looking forward to playing here. It (pitch) looks relatively green, we're used to it here at the Oval now, always good pace, good bounce, I thinks it's a great cricket surface to bat and bowl. So, it should be a fantastic game.
