We have made a few changes in our Fantasy Handbook. Do check it out before finalising your Fantasy XI..
Here are the Impact substitutes for both the teams:
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (Playing XI): Philip Salt, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar(c), Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma(w), Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Suyash Sharma, Yash Dayal
Sanju Samson: Actually we also wanted to bowl first. Normally it gets better to bat is the local information here. We know the conditions and if we respect the opposition and play to potential I think we will be fine. Ups and downs keep happening, can't allow doubts to
Rajat Patidar: We will bowl first. Surface looks pretty hard and good. We will know how the pitch behaves. This is to raise awareness to plant more trees. Same team for us.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won the toss and have opted to field
Riyan Parag: Last year, everything came together collectively. Trying to do the same this year, gotten a lot of starts, just trying to convert those starts into big innings. I was 3 for the first two games, I am back at No. 4 now. I've been playing at 4 for the last three games. I think that's gonna be the same for the next few games and the rest of the season. I'm back at my happy place, I hope to contribute a little bit more with the bat and see how it goes. (Home conditions) The wicket's a little different. We've been seeing all these 240-260 high-scores where the wickets are pretty flat and the bounce is pretty consistent. Here, it's a little different, the bounce is a little low, you've got to work for your runs, hit a lot of boundaries, run a lot of twos and then once you do that, then you are set, the big shots come in. We're just figuring those things out and we've been practising here a lot, we know that really well. (Areas to improve) We've kept it really simple, we won two games before that (loss vs GT), we were in a really good momentum shift. One game here and there happens, we've gone back to the drawing board and the communication is to be free and enjoy yourself. The freedom is there, the backing is there from the management. We just got to go there and express ourselves. (On playing for India) Really special, dreaming of it since I was a kid, you can see the smile on my face. Just trying to have another good IPL season and hopefully get back in India colours soon.
Will Jof be as effective as he was in the last few games with the new ball? This is a day game so the ball may not be as helpful and RCB's openers are quite adept at handling pace. Sure is going to be a spicy battle to watch
Pitch Report | Deep Dasgupta and Varun Aaron: "It's the first game of the season here at Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur. It's an afternoon game, extremely hot, it's a little breezy as well. One of the bigger venues in the country - 62m and 29m square boundaries, 74m down the ground. Looks like a good wicket. Last year, there were two games here, one afternoon game as well, both games 190+. This ground has a good batting history for both teams. Virat Kohli got his hundred here last year. On this wicket, Sanju Samson has scored 150 runs and not been dismissed and Riyan Parag has an average of 60. Looks like a good batting wicket. If we go closer to the wicket, there are a few cracks, but there's a lot of grass to bind it. It's not live grass, it's dead grass but grass still, it's going to bind it. Looks like a really good batting wicket, could assist the spinners a little towards the second innings. All in all, a really good batting surface. I would back both teams to get a lot of runs on this wicket. Historically the team batting first here on this wicket has a better record. But it's a good wicket, it's not going to really matter if you bat first or second.
RCB have a great chance to jump to a minimum of third place if they win today. They would dearly hope Livingstone comes to the party with the bat like he did against GT. If the middle-order supports the runs at the top, this team could be mighty tough with the bat in hand. RR need consistency with the bat if they are to be contenders for the playoffs. No doubt they will put RCB to a bit of spin test. Looks like Hasaranga could return to the side, which is a big boost.
The IPL caravan has reached the Pink City and we kick start with a royal clash between Bengaluru and Rajasthan. Both sides are locked in the mid table muddle after blowing hot and cold. RCB fans will be upbeat that is an away game for their team because of their wins so far have only been away from home. Just when it looked like the Royals were getting into a zone with successive wins, GT handed them a crushing defeat to keep the table pretty tight.
