Laura Wolvaardt: We would have batted first as well. We've got one debutant. A lot of us have heard a lot about her - a keeper who can contribute with the bat. Very excited for her.
Harmanpreet Kaur: We're gonna bat first. Pitch is looking really good. We are not putting any pressure on us. Very happy with the way we played in the last match. They've been very good, they've been playing good cricket.
Pitch Report | Gamini Perera: Beautiful morning, hot and humid. Hardly any breeze. No immediate threat of rain. The outfield is looking fine. Same pitch as last time. It's hard, nice grass covering. Spinners got some spin and bounce. Expect spinners to do the bulk of the work.

09:00 Local Time, 03:30 GMT, 09:00 IST: Hello everyone and a warm welcome to the second match of this tri-series being played in the capital city of Sri Lanka. The two visiting teams will lock horns against each other today. India won the first match against SL comprehensively in a shortened game to further better their already dominant head-to-head record. This will be South Africa's first international match of this year. 2024 wasn't a good year for them in this format as they lost three away series (vs Australia, India and England) while tied the home series 1-1 against Sri Lanka. This is a World Cup year and they'll be keen to get off to a good start. It won't be an easy task though today. When these two teams faced off against each other last year, India whitewashed South Africa 3-0 in the ODIs with only one of those matches being a close encounter. So, Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. will walk into this match as favourites. There might be rain interruptions later but currently the sun is out and that's great news.
