A series that was originally only supposed to have two matches saw the addition of this third fixture and UAE’s win in the 2nd T20I makes this a decider. It was a win in the making for the UAE, the foundations of which were laid in the first game before the construction was completed in the second. The first game saw the hosts fall short by 27-runs after starting superbly while chasing 191. They ensured that their mistakes weren’t repeated in the second game by successfully hunting down 206 to not just level the series but also stun Bangladesh. Like the first game, it was their skipper, Muhammad Waseem, who starred once more with a 42-ball 82 to see his side through to an inspiring win. That makes today’s fixture, with all to play for, all the more exciting.
