In a thrilling encounter, Peshawar Zalmi secured an eight-run victory over Islamabad United, thanks to a stellar performance by both bat and ball. Captain Babar Azam anchored the Zalmi innings with a magnificent century (111 runs off 63 balls), guiding his team to a competitive total of 201 runs. However, United seemed on course for victory with Azam Khan and Colin Munro scoring impressive 70s each. The tide turned dramatically in the penultimate over, courtesy of leg-spinner Arif Yaqoob. He produced a sensational spell, claiming four crucial wickets, and effectively dismantling United's chase. Despite a valiant effort, United fell short by eight runs, handing Zalmi their third consecutive win in the tournament.
