Player of the Match for an unbeaten 44 off just 29 balls against Pakistan in the Under-19 Women's T20 Asia Cup. Earned a staggering INR 1.6 crore deal with Mumbai Indians in the 2025 WPL auction. Both these things happened on the same day (16th December, 2024) for the 16-year-old Kamalini.
Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Kamalini is an aggressive and stylish left-handed top-order batter. Although she can bowl some leg-spin, she's working more on her wicketkeeping skills along with her main strength which is batting. Her performance in the Under-19 domestic tournament (311 runs in 8 matches) which was eventually won by Tamil Nadu earned her a spot in the Indian U-19 team. Batting at the top of the order, Kamalini was the third highest run-getter of the 2024-25 ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup which was won by India.
