Jonathan Foo made his debut for Guyana in the 2005 CLICO West Indies Under-15 tournament. He gradually rose through the ranks, figuring in the Guyana Under-19 team. Identified as a limited overs specialist, Foo was given the nod to represent Guyana in the 2010 regional T20 tournament. Striking the ball with immense power, he scripted several spine tingling wins for Guyana. No wonder, he was chosen in the Guayana side for the 2010 World T20 League in South Africa. Comparisons with Kieron Pollard were floating around but Foo misfired in the rainbow nation with Guyana losing all their matches.
