An experienced cricketer in India's domestic circuit - Aarpit Vasavada who has played nearly 50 first-class matches made his debut in 2011 for Saurashtra against Railways. Some of the well known names in present day cricket like Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja and Jaydev Unadkat were also a part of that contest Vasavada made his debut in. The right-hander batted at number 7 on his debut with scores of 14 & 17 in that order in his first two innings and it was a match that was expansively won by Saurashtra.
Vasavada's batting average in first-class is in the mid 30s and even though he has crossed the age of 30, he continues to come up with constructive contributions every now and then. One of his recent impressive knocks came against Baroda wherein he scored 120 batting at number 3 but it was a draw as both teams ended up scoring in excess of 500 runs. In List A cricket Vasavada is yet to score a century, 99 being his highest score in the format.
