Touted as the next Kevin Pietersen, Adam Hose is a flamboyant top-order batsman for Warwickshire. The County's director Ashley Giles termed Hose as a 'hairs up on the back of your neck sort of player' and added that \"Some of the shots he hits, some of his attributes are very similar to KP’s. He is the same sort of size, has long levers, hits the ball out in front of himself well, and hits it miles when he gets in.\"
Hose sprouted through Hampshire ranks and played for the second elevens before moving to Somerset in 2015 where he made his first-class debut against visiting Pakistan side in July 2016. Midway through the 2017 season, Hose accepted an offer from Warwickshire with his former club (Somerset) releasing him on loan for the rest of the season.
Somerset, obviously, felt the loss of such a quality player as the club's director of cricket Matt Maynard said: \"We are extremely disappointed that Adam has chosen to leave Somerset after the club invested time and effort in helping to develop him as a cricketer and giving him the opportunity to play First XI cricket.\" No doubt, Warwickshire will look to get the best out of him in the seasons ahead.
