Biography

One of the hardened products of the Indian domestic system, Anureet Singh is a medium pacer who has ability to bowl a nagging line and length, apart from mixing his pace cleverly. He first arrived in First-class cricket for Railways as a conventional swing bowler who had the ability to be extremely accurate. As the years went by and the T20 format became more prominent, Anureet started working on his variations and change of pace. Although he made his IPL debut in the 2009 season, he couldn't create any ripples in the tournament. To be fair to him, he was still very much a work in progress at that point.

Over the years, Anureet has become a reliable name in the Ranji Trophy particularly. During the 2013-14 season, he emerged as the second highest-wicket taker and the people who had seen him evolve were of the opinion that the young man was finally translating his innate potential. Although a national call up hasn't come up, Anureet has been a part of quite a few IPL franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab. From the 2018 season onward, he'll be plying his trade with the Rajasthan Royals. He'll hope that he can create a bigger impact there than he has thus far in his career.
