Born in Gaibandha, Fargana Hoque made her international debut in 2011 during the home ODIs against Pakistan. A solid right-handed batter who loves to drive the ball, Fargana's patience and compact nature makes her a useful asset in a largely fragile Bangladesh line-up. She herself hasn't had justifiable numbers in her career thus far but has managed to stay in the mix. Fargana usually bats in the top half of the batting order and is also a fantastic fielder. She has been comparatively more consistent in ODIs than in T20Is but her strike-rate in the 50-over format is a touch too low, especially for today's fast-paced game. However, like many of her teammates, Fargana has age on her side and will want to improve her flaws as she moves towards her peak.
