Kagiso Rapulana is a 27-year all-rounder hailing from Johannesburg who made his first-class debut for Gauteng against Free State in 2011. Interestingly, it was in the same match that Keaton Jennings made his first class debut too. Opening the batting on for Gauteng, Rapulana was dismissed for a duck in the first over of the match itself, but it hardly affected the end result of as Gauteng won the game by a massive margin of an innings and 72 runs.
Rapulana's highest first-class score of 259* came against Northern Cape in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup and it was a game to remember as the all-rounder showed wonderful temperament and displayed an exhibition of grit and determination. In his innings of 259*, the Rapulana smacked 30 boundaries and 5 sixes at a brilliant strike of 84 as a result of which North West notched up a gigantic score of 576/4 before declaration. Rapulana was signed by the Highveld Lions for the 2018-19 season due to his consistent performances.
