Born in Lancashire, Eleanor Threlkeld started playing cricket by the age of 9. She played for Lancashire in Under-11s and Under-13s. While representing the latter, she skippered the county to the title win. She was named Lancashire's junior player of the year for girls in 2014 as a 15-year-old and later again in 2016.
Threlkeld debuted for Lancashire’s senior side in a T20 game in 2013. Her 50-over debut followed in the following year and in 2015, Eleanor helped Lancashire gain promotion from Division Two in the twenty over format. She witnessed another promotion - in the longest formats - when Lancashire got promoted to the first division of the County Championship.
Lancashire won both the limited-overs titles - Royal London Cup and T20 competition - in 2017, where Eleanor was an integral member of the club’s set-up.
Eleanor Threlkeld has been part of Lancashire Thunder in the Women’s Cricket Super League since its inception.
