Biography

A right-arm pacer, Freya Ruth Davies made her Sussex debut at the age of 14 in 2010 and made her England debut in 2019. Davies has been a part of three title wins for Sussex: the 2013 Women's County Championship and the 2012 and 2015 T20 competitions. Despite being uncapped, in 2019, Davies was awarded a central contract by the ECB. Soon she made her debut for the national side.

Davies was a member of the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup for England but did not get a game. In 2021, she recorded her best T20I bowling figures of 4/23 and ended the series as the joint-leading wicket-taker.

With her young age acting as an advantage, she currently is threatening the established new-ball opening pair of Brunt and Shrubsole.

Personal life: Davies is educated at Brighton College and has gone on to study law at Exeter University.
