Multan Sultans won by 42 runs

Multan Sultans look unstoppable having won six games on the trot. If they continue to play the same brand of cricket, they surely deserve to lift the trophy this season. But we have seen strange things happen in such tournaments. So you never know. We'll be back tomorrow for the coverage of another match as the Multan Sultans take on Lahore Qalandars. Goodbye for now. See you all tomorrow!

Rizwan: The credit goes to the players and the team management. We dropped a lot of catches, but we managed to end up on the winning side. We were thinking of getting to 180-odd and we managed to do that. Khushdil Shah is a confident player and he has the ability to become a good all-rounder for Pakistan. We need to work on our fielding, the batting and bowling has been good. We need to give opportunities to the players on the bench.

Riaz: We are committing mistakes in the powerplay. We are not winning those moments in the powerplay. It's always going to be difficult to bounce back for such situations. We need to execute our plans, we haven't been able to do so. Hopefully we'll be able to do that in the upcoming games.

Masood, Player of the Match: It's an honour to play for Pakistan, I have to keep giving my best. Need to stick to the basics and process. I'm trying to see the ball and react to it. Taking one ball at a time, sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't. It looked like a belter initially, but there was pace and bounce later. We were targetting something around 180, I think we got a decent total as our bowlers defended it later.

Muzarabani - (3/18): It's always good to keep it easy and hit your length. Really happy that I got some wickets. It's an advantage that I am tall (6'8) - can always get that extra bounce. The guys are really positive, hoping to win every game.

23:23 Local Time, 18:23 GMT, 23:53 IST: Six matches played | Six matches won. Quite a remarkable season for the Multan Sultans this is proving to be. They won all their matches in Karachi, and they have gotten off to an auspicious start in Lahore as well with their sixth win of the season. Earlier in the day, their top three batters (Masoon, Rizwan and David) played extremely well to post a challenging total of 182. In reply, Peshawar Zalmi lost a few early wickets and were reduced to 42/3 within the powerplay. And after that kind of a powerplay, it was always going to be a tough task to chase down such a stiff target. Zalmi kept losing wickets right throughout the innings and fell short by 42 runs. Muzarabani and Khushdil were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets each. Stay tuned for the presentations..

Khushdil to Salman Irshad, out Caught&Bowled!! Khushdil takes a terrific catch running back. A loopy delivery by him and Salman Irshad looks to take him on. Mistimes his lofted shot and the bowler sprints back and completes the catch with a dive. That's game, set and match. Salman Irshad c and b Khushdil 2(4)
