Conditions have meant a change in England's playing XI and that has forced us into a change as well. Getting worked up about making the last minute changes in your fantasy team? Check out our #FantasyHandbook on #CricbuzzPlus for informed choices
Joe Root: (On NZ loss) Didn’t quite get to the total we wanted on that surface in the previous game. We need to be more aggressive, need to fully commit to our shots. We didn’t do the right things at the right time, there was a bit of caginess about an opening day of the World Cup as well. (On Bangladesh) We are concentrating on ourselves, we need to respect the wicket. We know they are a good team, can’t underestimate but at the same time we need to stay true to what makes us good as a team.
Ankush: Since a lot of games are scheduled in Dharmsala in coming days, how many days will it take for the conditions to improve if possible. Or the only option would be to play in same conditions given the games do not move elsewhere. 'The groundstaff are confident that the grass will be back by the time India faces New Zealand at this venue on the 22nd, which will be the 4th game at this venue.'
Teams:
England (Playing XI): Jonny Bairstow, Dawid Malan, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler(w/c), Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Reece Topley
Bangladesh (Playing XI): Tanzid Hasan, Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan(c), Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mushfiqur Rahim(w), Towhid Hridoy, Mahedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman
Jos Buttler: We would have fielded first as well. We have one change - Topley comes in for Moeen.
Shakib al Hasan: We will field first.
Bangladesh have won the toss and have opted to field
Pitch and Conditions: "As far as backdrops in the world cricket, Dharamsala is got to be one of the best. The snow is on the tips and is beautiful to look at maybe Cape Town and Queenstown could compete. As far as the ground goes we will go to the outfield, it is challenging for the fielders if they dive or slide, bowling wise you might scruff things up as you run in but it is given the go ahead by the match referee. The ground dimensions - 61 one way and 66 is the other, the altitude will make the ball fly," starts Shaun Pollock. "If you look at the color of the pitch it is light brown because there has been a lot of rain, yesterday there was 7mm grass and they have brought it down to 3mm, the fast bowlers will not be excited. It is going to be slow in nature and run scoring will be difficult," concludes Dinesh Karthik.
