Smuts was traded to the Super Giants by Sunrisers ahead of this season, and he had a game to remember against his former team today. So it's two straight wins for the Super Giants to kick off their campaign. They have some serious depth in that batting order as they showed in their first game, and now today as well. Will take some stopping. So that's all from us here. Until next time, it's goodbye.
Smuts: We thought it was going to be a pretty good wicket - not as good as that to be honest. Bit of luck went my way. I know this wicket pretty well. Have spent a lot of time here. Enjoyed myself out there. It's a wicket that can be quite difficult to come into. When batters get going, it's difficult to defend. He's a big wicket (Markram) - obviously delighted to see the back of him. We've got a very strong squad assembled. Let's hope we can keep the momentum going.
Maharaj: More of a clinical performance today. Good to see the energy on the field from the boys. Great to see everyone putting their hand up when the opportunity comes. He got off the flight the other day and still executed (Gleeson). Now 2 games in 3 days, he showed the world class performer he is. PE (Port Elizabeth) is always a special place when it comes to the atmosphere. Nice way to start the tournament.
Markram: It was a good game. The general cricket lover would've appreciated it. Unfortunately weren't quite near our best tonight. Could've been better from an execution point of view with the ball. Quite frightening what guys can do, and they train for it too (referring to Abell's attempted save). Certainly no panic. Time to learn and bounce back stronger.
21:05 Local Time, 19:05 GMT, 00:35 IST: If you go by the margin, it's a comfortable win for Capitals. But there was a fair part of the chase where they would've felt a little uneasy.
