B0$ Coming down really hard now. Bucketing down would be an appropriate way to describe it
B0$ Oh dear!
B0$ Been a bit rainier than expected, but every time we come here to India it really is humid and hot. Been here only for two days but feeling the full effects of it already. Have to adapt to conditions quickly. A little bit stiff (after all the travel), it was a long journey, but this is the start of the World Cup, so we are really excited. These games are just about building up to the opening game and we need to be ready for that. Jjust want to bowl fast and take as many wickets as possible. My eyes were shut (talking about his batting practice) for most of those shots. If I am batting, we are in trouble, hopefully I don't have to bat much.
B0$ I honestly wasn't thinking about here. Enjoying the game has been my prime motto for the last four to five years and I would like to do that again in this tournament. I0$ It's all about making subtle variations (talking about the preparations) and dealing with pressure, all you can do is turn the ball both ways and hope for the best. Pressure is of paramount importance for most players in this tournament. Being in a good space and training to enjoy the game will hold me in good stead i reckon. Want to enjoy the tournament. I don't know I have kept saying this, B1$ For me enjoying the tournament is more important.
B0$ (Batting XI, Fielding XI): Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler(w/c), Liam Livingstone, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Sam Curran, David Willey, Adil Rashid, Gus Atkinson, Reece Topley, Mark Wood
B0$ To be in India ahead of what's gonna be a really exciting World Cup, for us it is very much about getting out there and getting moving. We had a long travel to get there, we will be a bit cautious today. There is a lot of experience in our game, everything including this game is about preparing for that (World Cup opener against New Zealand) match. We have plenty of guys who played a lot of IPL cricket here in India and really excited about today. All the players are fit and ready to go.
B0$ We gonna bat first. No particualr reason, it's very hot out there. Just want to make sure that our bowlers stay fresh and bowl under the lights which is not gonna be so taxing for the bowlers. Because we have been playing lot of cricket off late, so just want to make sure that we are looking after them. We just got to play good cricket, we played 7 or 8 games recently, we want to make sure that the guys stay fresh for the 8th of October. We are playing one of the top teams and everyone (in the team) is fit and ready to go.
B0$
B0$ Buttler calls heads and it comes down as tails....
B0$ Greetings everyone! With less than one week to go for the mega event, the teams have a wonderful opportunity to try and test different tactics and combinations, thanks to the warm-up round. Hosts and perhaps first in the list of favourites, India, will be in action today. They are up against defending champions England who will be keen to tick all the boxes before the tournament opener against New Zealand. Live pictures show a pumped up Indian squad warming up under bright, sultry conditions in Guwahati. Stick around for further updates...
