Pitch report, Day 3: "The batters batted really well yesterday. If you look at the pitch, there's a lot in it for the bowlers. It isn't very firm around the 4-6m mark. There will be turn and variable bounce if you bowl in this area and Vidarbha didn't bowl here enough." says Chetan Sharma
Dhawal Kulkarni (Playing his last FC game): I'm playing my last game which is such a big game in domestic game. In my debut game I got 9 wickets and I got confidence to do even better. Being a fast bowler, it takes a lot of hardwork and dedication. I have experienced a lot in these 17 seasons. That's what we play for, the hardwork that we put in, Ranji season is quite long and you need to sustain it, once you're playing the Ranji trophy, you're playing to win the finals. Being with the senior players, I've learnt a lot. The amount of experience I've got has helped me a lot. I was a young boy who just wanted to be in the dressing room with all these legends when I entered. They were constantly supporting and guiding me. They were of a lot of help. Now when I share the dressing room with the younger guys I pass on the knowledge. Surely I want to give it back to cricket, will definitely do something for cricket.
09:00 Local Time, 03:30 GMT, 09:00 IST: After a riveting couple of days in this Ranji Trophy final, we looked forward to Day 3 - often known as the moving day. After bowling Vidarbha out cheaply, Mumbai survived an early scare and staved off another collapse and Rahane and Musheer Khan held fort. They survived a few close calls but batted with grit and poise to deny Vidarbha any further inroads. With a 260-run lead already to their name, Mumbai are comfortably ahead in this game and they'll look to completely bat Vidarbha out. They've got 8 wickets in hand and a setting a target of around 400 will be in their sights.
09:05 Local Time, 03:35 GMT -- Day 3: It has been all Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy final. They have dominated proceedings on the first two days and find themselves in a strong position to claim their 42nd Ranji title. They were under pressure in the first innings but like they usually do, they found somone to bail them out.
