We are all ready to go on day 4. The batters and umps are already there. West Indies still to walk on to the field.
Justin Greaves: That’s a tricky question but for us as a bowling group, we need to be patient. I think 250-275 can be chased down. The pitch is really a good one, the ball didn’t swing much yesterday. I tried something different and it worked out. With the ball not doing much, you have to try something different. Bowl short at times and also change pace at times. It’s up to individual players. We have full support of the coaching staff and they back us.
Pitch Report: What we saw yesterday was a plofileration of wickets, 7 wickets fell in total in the first session. Their is mosaic underneath, you can see that cracks have opened up significantly. We saw an off-cutter from Greaves yesterday moving siginificantly. For spinners, some deliveries are turning and some are not turning.
Day 4: Day 3 saw Bangladesh scripting a massive turnaround as they played with a lot of fire, determination and positive approach. Nobody would have thought that the Windies will be pushed firmly on the back foot especially after finishing Day 2 at 70/1. That's why cricket is known as game of glorious uncertainties. The Windies lost their last nine wickets for just 76 runs, with Nahid Rana being the chief destroyer. Bangladesh's batting approach in their second innings was completely different as they switched from being circumspect to proactive. All their batters have looked busy at the crease and due to their collective effort, they have taken their side's lead to a substantial 211 on a variable surface. 212 is the highest successful run-chase in Tests at Sabina Park and one can say that the game is gradually running away from the hosts. The pitch did ease out as the game progressed yesterday but you are never in as a batter on this surface. Numerous balls are keeping low while some are kicking off a length. If Bangladesh manage to set a target near to 300, they will bolster their position even more. Can the Windies make a comeback? Only time will tell....
Andre Adams, Bangladesh bowling coach: Very good day. Wanted to show some fight. Counter-punch. And we've done that. Really happy with how the bowlers have gone. Batting has been different today. Nice sign. We knew it was coming at some stage. When you bowl 150kph, you'll take wickets at some stage. He has improved his accuracy. When he started in February, he was all over the place. We've got to look after him. That's why he didn't play the first Test. It's about understanding the game and how he creates chances for himself. Luckily we've got the likes of Taskin and Hasan to help him out. And Miraz has been excellent in this game. Not really sure about the plan. What I do know is Simmo asked for fight and character. We need to be good with the ball again. We think the surface is getting better.
