We've made one change to our combination in Fantasy Handbook based on the conditions.
Teams:
Delhi Capitals Women (Playing XI): Shafali Verma, Meg Lanning(c), Jemimah Rodrigues, Annabel Sutherland, Marizanne Kapp, Jess Jonassen, Sarah Bryce(w), Shikha Pandey, Arundhati Reddy, Minnu Mani, Niki Prasad
UP Warriorz Women (Playing XI): Kiran Navgire, Vrinda Dinesh, Deepti Sharma(c), Tahlia McGrath, Shweta Sehrawat, Grace Harris, Chinelle Henry, Sophie Ecclestone, Uma Chetry(w), Kranti Goud, Saima Thakor
Deepti: Our plan was to bowl as well.
Delhi Capitals Women have won the toss and have opted to field
Lanning: We're going to have a bowl. Same team. We feel that we improved in the last game and looking to do the same tonight. Feel like the pitch will suit our game. Nice to get back on the winning side of things. Have to play well again tonight.

Pitch report | Julia Price and Natalie Germanos: 54 meters on one side, 61 on the other. And 69 meters straight boundary. A lot of good grass cover on it. It's really the pace bowlers that dominate here. Got to be careful of that short boundary, but generally pacers are going to dominate.
6.30pm local: Hello and welcome to our coverage of Match 8 as Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz meet again after playing each other just three days earlier. Delhi Capitals won a tight contest on that occasion, getting over the line in the final over as UP Warriorz were quite sloppy in the field. There's not much more room for error now for the Warriorz who are yet to open their account in this tournament.
Preview by Aayush Puthran:
Less than 72 hours since playing out a thriller in Vadodara, Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz will come face-to-face again in Bengaluru. Beyond the obvious two points at stake, both teams will hope to sort out their own set of issues as they begin their second leg of WPL 2025 - where they have a fairly packed schedule; DC playing four games and UPW three.
For the Deepti Sharma-led side, the concerns are obvious. Two games down, they currently sit at the bottom of the table, without a win to their credit. They could've got off the mark in their previous encounter itself, if not for a slew of dropped catches, misfields and missed run-out opportunities.
The fielding woes which cost them last season has continued to haunt them early this year as well. What would be all the more worrying for UPW is the fact that apart from the youngsters, the experienced foreign players have also not kept the standards too high.
DC, on the other hand, despite two wins in three games, would be well aware that they haven't put their best foot forward as well. A last-ball thriller against Mumbai Indians and the close finish against UPW wouldn't have given them the kind of confidence they would like. With four of their next five league games scheduled in Bengaluru, they would look to find their rhythm soon in a bid to reach their third successive final.
When: Saturday, February 22, 2025, 19:30 IST
Where: Delhi Capitals vs UP Warriorz, Match 8, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru
What to expect: A fresh pitch and a flat track with bucket loads of runs on offer. How well the players apply themselves remains to be seen. But these are conditions that both teams would've had some experience of playing in, having played half the season of the tournament in Bengaluru last year.
Team News
Delhi Capitals: Spoilt for choices, DC have enough options in their armoury, but haven't been able to figure out the most potent of their combinations. Nonetheless, they could retain the same Playing XI.
Probable XI: Shafali Verma, Meg Lanning (c), Jemimah Rodrigues, Annabel Sutherland, Marizanne Kapp, Jess Jonassen, Sarah Bryce (wk), Niki Prasad, Shikha Pandey, Arundhati Reddy, Minnu Mani
UP Warriorz: Despite Kiran Navgire's early blitz, UP Warriorz haven't been able to capitalise through the middle overs. Vrinda Dinesh being unable to offer adequate tempo could prompt the team management to make some alterations in the batting order. There could also be a temptation to bring in Chamari Athapaththu.
