That's all from this game folks! We'll be back soon with more WPL coverage. Ciao for now!
Chinelle Henry, Player of the Match: My role is pretty clear. The players need to set up things for me to finish. Need to back my skills. Need to go out there and execute my plans. The ball was still moving, it was just about backing myself and backing my skills. It was good for me tonight. It was a good series back in December. It was a good feeling, my contribution gave us a win. It happens, it's about taking the catches. It's about how we come back. We have to take our chances against RCB. It's about blocking all the noise, we need to do well as a team and move forward.
Deepti Sharma: It was an important win for us. Get positive thoughts when you win matches like these. The batters had a clean mindset. Henry played a good knock, she backed her strength. We need to improve our fielding going forward. As a team, we need to keep winning going forward.
Grace Harris: That was not good bowling (on her hat-trick.) We are enjoying our time and loving the WPL. Hopefully this (win) turns the tide for us. I was joking in the bowlers meeting today. I was joking that I was gonna take a hat-trick. We had a casual meeting. I want to manifest something with the bat going forward in the competition. I have batted once with Henry, she is a very good striker of the ball. She has a clean swing. She is fantastic around our group. She has the power, I would like to spend some time with Henry. I think the conditions haven't been in our favour, but you can win games if we execute our plans. This win gives a little boost and confidence. Let's hope we roll the Mumbai Indians and RCB goin forwrd.
Meg Lanning: I thouught we did right in the first 15 overs and we bowled in the right areas. Henry was too good, she batted brilliantly. It was nice to slow it down a bit in the middle overs. It's just about trying to be best with the ball. As I said Henry batted brilliantly, we didn't have any answers against her. It was a good surface overall. We just got to play the full game together. We need to improve in some areas going forward.
22:57 Local Time, 17:27 GMT, 22:57 IST: UP Warriorz open their account in the points table as a result of this victory! They lost a couple of games earlier this season, but they were pretty clinical today and they finally got off the mark in the points table. The Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first, however, UP posted a challenging total on the board. Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma played crucial knocks in the run , but the rest of the batters couldn't add anything substantial. The Capitals tried hard, however, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and fell short of the target eventually. Harris' hat-trick proved to be too good for the opposition players.. Stay around for the presentations...
