Complete UP Warriorz Women won by 12 runs

Player of Match: Georgia Voll

RCB's floundering campaign ends in heartbreak here in Lucknow. They started the tournament well with back-to-back wins in Vadodara, but things started going horribly wrong in their home leg as they lost all four matches at Chinnaswamy. It was a must-win match today against UP Warriorz who were already out of the race, and they came up against a rampaging Georgia Voll who was too hot to handle. So the top three have been confirmed, but we still have a couple of league matches to go with Mumbai Indians still in with a shot at clinching top spot on the table. The action now moves to Mumbai where the Eliminator and Final will also be held. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, it's goodbye from Sagar Chawla on behalf of Venky and Akshay Maanay.

Voll | POTM: It's been really cool (WPL experience?). Getting here a week ago, been great to know all the girls. Great experience to help our team put up good totals. Probably think back where you could've found the extra run (missing out on a hundred). Overall pretty happy. It was a really good wicket so we had to get above that 200.
Deepti | UPW captain: We just wanted to be on our toes because you never know with T20s. Total team effort today. I was backing myself with my stock balls and variations. Sometimes it clicks, sometimes it doesn't. We have been getting good starts but middle order hasn't clicked. Today everyone showed their character. When you win, you see everything in a positive light. Obviously disappointed that we haven't qualified. Hopefully we'll do better next year.
Smriti Mandhana | RCBW captain: I think they batted really positively from the first ball and sometimes in the last game of the season they come out in a different mood, that's what happened with UP today. But we pulled off quite well in the last 3-4 overs. Credit to Voll for the way she batted was brilliant. The way we started we thought it was going to be a good season but in the last 5 games we could not live up to the expectations which we had from ourselves. We played some good cricket in patches, we could not live up to some moments and we lost a lot of moments in the match. Definitely a lot to take back from this season. It was big to lose out the top three wicket takers of last season for us, losing them post auctions was huge but the replacements were really good, the way we started the tournament I thought we would be able to take the momentum. Lots of positives; Richa the way she batted today and really happy with Sneh Rana, came in as replacement and to do that was terrific to watch.
Grace Harris: Pretty good. We kinda saved our best game until last. It is great to have experienced the UP crowd, just UP in general and I have loved my time in India. I don't know if I will get a gig next year but if I do it will be great to come back. We just identified that it is our middle order that we have struggled with.. collapses and dot balls, we haven't been able to roll on after a wicket was lost. Tonight we did express ourselves quite freely and I think the way Volly batted was outstanding. Not only that when there was a wicket I felt our team played a lot better and just kept coming with the game, kept attacking. There were no dot balls.. And it was kind of a good surface to do it on. We didn't have that middle order collapse that we have had for the last 7 games. We have batted on 2-3 different kinds of wickets; against MI it did a bit early and I thought it was not a flat deck, tonight it was just sliding on and probably you want to bowl first when you win the toss as dew has come on. It was a much better pitch, a bit more flatter and true for the batters. It is a fantastic experience for international and domestic players, to experience Indian conditions and to also play alongside other individuals. I have learnt a lot about Deepti and other Indian players' game. UP Warriorz do it really well where we give local players a good crack and showcase their skills, often batting them in key positions.
