It's Bavuma and Markram striding out to the middle, to try and finish what they've started and take their side home through to a historic win. Can Australia spoil their party?
The wait is nearly over, lots of people are streaming into the stadium.
Here's Telford from Lord's, "Morning! We had a thunderstorm last night and the skies were cloudy this morning, but they've cleared and there's now more blue than grey above."
Krishna: "Will Bavuma start with Markram today or will other batsman start with Markram, and he will come out to bat later in the day?" --- No indications to suggest Bavuma might retire hurt, he'll want to come out there and see his side through
Bavuma is seen warming up, he's got some strapping on that left hamstring. It's troubled him but he's shown a lot of character and hasn't let pain get in the way of performance.
09:45 Local Time, 08:45 GMT, 14:15 IST: South Africa are on the verge of history as they are just 69 runs away from a memorable WTC final win. Day 3 turned out to the best batting day of the match as just 4 wickets fell after 14 each on the first two days. Aiden Markram showcased his talent by scoring a superb hundred where he hardly put a foot wrong. Impeccable defence, lovely shot-selection and a steely determination ensured he has put his side on the doorstep to victory. He was complemented by the gutsy Bavuma who shrugged off a hamstring issue to battle on and together they have added 143 so far. Whatever Australia tried did not work even though Bavuma should have been out on 2 had Smith not dropped one at slip. Instead Smith suffered a compound dislocation of his little finger on his right hand which puts him in doubt for the upcoming Tests in West Indies. Hello and welcome to what should be an early finish on day 4. Stay tuned as we bring you all the action.
