Shamar Joseph to Head, 1 run, Shamar tucks Head up with a shortish delivery first up from round the wicket, Head hops and fends it to square leg to get moving
Shai Hope: Very pleased to be back and representing the West Indies. We are in a string position. Want the fans back. It would be amazing if we can win some games. The wicket is a little unpredictable. If you back your ability to defend you can. They are a world class attack. Just backing my skills and my preparation so that I can do the job for my team.
The players and the umpires stride out to the middle. It's a bright and sunny day
Pitch Report | Carlos Brathwaite: There has been plenty of movement on Day 1 and Day 2. If you hit the good length area consistently, you will get assistance. The grass is withering and the pitch is drying up a bit. Will the spinners come more into play going ahead? We will see.
Nathan Lyon: It's been a couple of exciting days of Test cricket, Test cricket is challenging with different conditions in different parts of the world. There's no limit, it's about going out and doing the basics right and try to put pressure on the opportunity comes. Every run is gold, no rocket science there, we need try to get our lead as high as we can. I think there's little bit of spin there, there has been a lot in it for the fast bowlers, if an opportunity comes, I will try to take it with both hands, a big day is coming up for us.

In their second essay with the bat, the visitors lost Khawaja and Konstas early and then Green and Inglis couldn’t make any notable contribution either. Head and Wesbter have shown promise but they still have a long way to go if they are to take Australia to a position of strength. The Windies will look to keep making inroads with the ball and give themselves a shot at bowling the opposition out for a paltry total. Australia lead by 82 at present. An early wicket or two might just set the cat among the pigeons. There’s a possibility of a late finish to the game today itself if the bowlers keep making hay.
09:30 Local Time, 13:30 GMT, 19:00 IST: Day 3 – This Test has moved at a brisk pace. The pacers ruled the roost on the opening two days of the match and that trend is likely to continue with the pitch being two-paced. Some balls have taken off from a length while some have kept low to keep the batters on their toes. 14 wickets fell on Day 1 while 10 wickets fell on Day 2, with the pacers claiming all of them except one. The 67-run stand between Chase and Hope for the sixth wicket yesterday allowed the hosts to recover from a precarious position. The hosts only managed a slender lead of 10 though as wickets once again fell in clusters.
Mitchell Starc: They had a partnership through the middle, it’s an indifferent wicket, if you bowl in the right areas, you get help, even with the ball getting older, you get sideways movement. There were a few deliveries which kept low and a few which took off in the first day, it was similar today as well. (On a few contentious third umpire decisions) A decision went against us and a couple went against the West Indies, you can’t really question it. We will try to get as many we can and hopefully we can defend. We have got a couple of guys who have got a little partnership going, they didn’t try to score quickly but they absorbed pressure. If you withstand pressure, there are runs to be had.
17:33 Local Time, 21:33 GMT, 03:03 IST: 14 wickets fell on day 1. And 10 have fallen today. The game is still in the balance. Australia have a lead of 82 and have lost
