Phil Simmons | Bangladesh Coach - I think we didn't do the things we needed and wanted to do. But this is a Test match and there's always a chance to come back. We didn't bowl well either, the preparations were very good, we've started badly, but we need to do well. It's about consistency, approach and if we do better with the ball and field, we'll have a chance to come back. We're trying to be more positive, we were previously sitting back and allowing the opposition to come hard at us, but we're now looking to be more positive, take things hand on and be positive in our approach towards the game.
A cloudy day with the floodlights having been already switched on. Will the mositure help the Bangladeshi pacers?
09:30 Local Time, 03:30 GMT, 09:00 IST: Zimbabwe have a busy Test season lined-up this year and they made the almost perfect start yesterday in Sylhet. Asked to bowl first, they utilized the conditions to the 'T' to restrict the hosts to a meagre 191. The openers then ensured that the strong bowling effort didn't go in waste as they rattled up an unbroken 67-run opening partnership before bad light brought proceedings to a close. The wicket should be at its best for batting today and the visitors will look to press on the advantage now. As for the hosts, they need to stay patient and disciplined and take all the chances that come their way if they're to make a comeback into the Test.
17:40 Local Time, 11:40 GMT, 17:10 IST: The umpires confer, check the light reading and reckon that it's gone bad enough. The players walk off and that'll be stumps on Day 1.
