The players are out in the middle and we're set for the start of Day 3.. Zimbabwe are in a huddle, a big first 30-45 minutes coming up for them
09:30 Local Time, 03:30 GMT, 09:00 IST: Zimbabwe fought back well in the last session yesterday, but it's still advantage Bangladesh as we start Fay 3. They might have collapsed from 259 for 3 to 291 for 7, but this pitch is aiding the spinners and the lead of 64 could be very handy indeed. They still have Mehidy Hasan out in the middle and Bangladesh would hope that he extends this lead further. The second new ball is only a couple of overs old though and that gives Zimbabwe the best chance of running through the tail.
17:13 Local Time, 11:13 GMT, 16:43 IST: Once again, the last session brings life back into the contest. At 259 for 3 and with a lead of 32 runs, the hosts were coasting along towards a massive first innings lead. But then Vincent Masekere struck on his debut to remove Najmul Shanto, then tricked Jaker Ali into offering a return catch before harassing Nayeem into his dismissal. In between, Mushfiqur Rahim ran himself out to cut short an impressive innings, 4 wickets in no time and the visitors have a foot back in the Test. Bangladesh still have a lead and they've wickets in hand to extend this already useful advantage of 64 runs, but they'd ponder about that last hour and a bit. Earlier, Shadman Islam's fine hundred, his 2nd in Tests, had negated the new ball threat and pushed the hosts into a great position. You'd say it's still advantage Bangladesh and they'll look to add to this score tomorrow, but Zimbabwe will certainly be buoyed by this comeback. We'll be back tomorrow at 10 am for Day 3 of this superbly poised Test. For now, cheers and bye..
