That's a wrap to the third quarterfinal. Australia are through to the semifinal and in some style. They will take on the winner of tomorrow's quarterfinal clash between India and Bangladesh. That's virtually a repeat of the previous U19 World Cup final, and should be a cracker. Do join us for that one. Until then, this is Hari Sadanandan signing off on behalf of Nikhil Jadhav and Mukesh. Cheers!

Cooper Connolly: There was some discussion for us before the game about what we wanted to do. In the end, we were happy to bat first. I feel like when he (Wyllie) comes to the crease and plays a few shots, I know he is on and I can sit down, relax. With the bowling, we were quite accurate and hit the right lines. We are a very strong bowling unit with good variation of pace.

Qasim Akram: We didn't bowl well after winning the toss. Australia batted well, got solid partnerships, credit to their batters. 276 was a big total but we didn't bat well enough to try.

Player of the Match | Teague Wyllie: It was nice to get a good score on the board and contribute. Wasn't an easy wicket to bat but we did well. Was doing a bit early on, some sideways movement and some swing. Then when the spinners came on, some would skid and some would grip. I try to give myself some more time and contribute. Pretty good to get to the semifinal. We didn't have a lot of preparation heading into the tournament, so it's good to have momentum heading into the final four.

15:43 Local Time, 19:43 GMT, 01:13 IST: A ruthless performance from Australia. Having posted a competitive total on the board, they never really let Pakistan's batters to dictate terms, apart from a very brief period in the first powerplay when a few boundaries were scored. Faseeh and Irfan did put up a decent partnership after the two early wickets, but once the runs started to dry, both fell and soon after, the innings started to fall apart. The lower order played a few aggressive strokes but that was mostly about damage control than anything else. The result was a foregone conclusion long back. Pakistan would be disappointed, it wasn't that huge a target and the pitch had eased out considerably from the first half but their batters just weren't smart enough. Credit to Australia though. Professional in all departments.

William Salzmann to Zeeshan Zameer, out Caught by Lachlan Shaw!! Australia storm their way to the semifinal! It's a massive win and they are all pumped. Salzmann finishes the formalities, angling in a hard length ball that Zameer tries to play from the crease. Closes the bat face a bit early and spoons a leading edge straight to cover. Zeeshan Zameer c Lachlan Shaw b William Salzmann 11(16) [4s-1]
