The Under-19 World Cup is a brilliant world-stage. Those dreams being chased very early, the sacrifices the parents and families make, the hardships, the learnings, the disciplines that the players go through as early as their teens. You don't often get such a big opportunity to showcase talent for the world to take notice. Some will have already been on the auction/draft radar across various franchise leagues. Some knock the door on Test cricket. Some being tagged as the next biggest thing in cricket in their respective countries. Some get a huge uplift in their careers to get the much needed financial boost to improve their bases. This is hugely exciting stage that the cricketing fraternity celebrates for the lineage to continue. We hope you enjoyed our coverage and we just can't wait to bring you the Under 19 World Cup again in two years time! Goodbye!
What an Under-19 World Cup this has been. It saw the most runs by an individual in a single edition - Dewald Brevis (506 runs). Most sixes hit in a single edition (338 sixes). Most sixes by an individual (Brevis 18 sixes) in a single edition. Afghanistan's stellar performance. Uganda's wins. Breath-taking bowling spells, and some stunning hits, the tight finishes and the twists. Teams were hit by Covid-19, but the quality of cricket was high and this is arguably the best Under-19 World Cup staged so far. The show keeps getting better!
The celebrations begin. Everybody wants a piece of that cup. There's a champions board, but they don't bother standing behind the board. Who cares, after winning the title! Now they align themselves behind the board with the Indian flag. The support staff join them. Kudos to head coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar, bowling coach Sairaj Bahutle, fielding coach Munish Bali, other support staff and NCA Chief VVS Laxman for handling the team and getting the team combination right despite Covid-19 forcing them to alter plans.
And now Yash Dhull walks up to collect the Under 19 World Cup trophy from Sir Richie Richardson to become the fifth Indian captain to win the title after Mohammad Kaif, Virat Kohli, Unmukt Chand and Prithvi Shaw.

Yash Dhull | India captain: Proud moment for India, that we have managed to achieve this. It was difficult at the start to get the combination right. but as time went we became a family and the team atmosphere was good. Great moment to be playing under this lot of support staff.

Tom Prest | England captain: We would have liked to bat better after choosing to bat first. But the was James Rew batted was outstanding, deserved a hundred. We definitely got the bowling and we did believe we could defend this. But they batted well. Not only the cricket, but the media exposure we have got is something we will not forget. I have made a couple friends from other teams as well. Our parents and families have flown in to support us here. I am proud of the way the boys played.
