Out of nowhere, Quetta are now looking a refreshed side with Roy's inclusion and chasing two mammoth scores on the trot certainly shows that they are brimming with confidence. As for Islamabad, they remain a potent side but consistency is eluding them a bit at the moment, particularly in the bowling. The PSL bandwagon shifts to a double-header mode tomorrow with Peshawar facing Karachi in the afternoon followed by home boys Lahore taking on Quetta. Should be two blockbuster games in all likelihood. Do join us for those encounters. Until next time, it's a goodbye from us. Cheers!

Sarfaraz Ahmed | Player of the Match: The discussion we (himself and Vince) had was to consolidate as back-to-back wickets had just been lost. Key was to take it deep and then pick our spots. Umar played brilliantly at the end. Losing Nawaz was a blow for sure, he's a key man for us. But Noor bowling well was a positive. We are known to play a never-say-die brand of cricket always. Hopefully it continues.

Shadab Khan: The way Roy started, it was great batting but we did well to come back in the game. Umar Bhai (Akmal) and Sarfu (Sarfaraz) Bhai stole the show at the end. There are many moments where things could have gone our way, that's the nature of this format. Yes, that (comeback with the bat at the end) is a feature of our batting depth and the brand of cricket we play. We could sometimes get bowled out for 100 due to this approach but it's the same style of play that's made us what we are.

23:12 Local Time, 18:12 GMT, 23:42 IST: Second time in as many games that Quetta have chased a 200ish score or thereabouts. And unlike their win against Lahore that came largely around a one-man show from Roy, this was a collective effort from the batting unit. Roy was at it again too, set the tempo upfront with Ahsan and Vince giving able support but Shadab with regular strikes kept Islamabad right in the scheme of things. The required rate also started to creep up and just when it seemed like Quetta had lost the plot, comeback man Umar Akmal in his first PSL game since 2020 smashed an electrifying cameo to bring life back into the chase. Sarfaraz, who was scratchy initially, also found his groove and then upped his gears in dramatic fashion to get his side across the line. Was a lovely pitch to bat on, and batters from both sides made merry on this. Dew was also a significant factor.

Hasan Ali to Sarfaraz, FOUR, Sarfaraz seals the deal with a crunchy blow! Low full toss, the field is up on the leg-side and it's been slugged through mid-wicket. What a run chase this has been!

Hasan Ali to Sarfaraz, FOUR, glorious shot and scores level now! Top stroke from Sarfaraz, picked his spot at extra cover, huge gap there and he backed away to slam the drive right through those big pockets. Just a single needed now

Hasan Ali to Faulkner, 1 run, almost a yorker around off, Faulkner just about squeezes it out off the inside edge. Nearly trickled onto the stumps. They get through for a single and that gets Sarfaraz back on strike
