That's it from Qualifier 1. Lyca Kovai Kings showed why they are the best team in the tournament. Dindigul Dragons will have another crack of reaching the final as they will take on the winner between Nellai Royal Kings and Siechem Madurai Panthers. Join us for the Eliminator tomorrow. Until then, goodbye and stay safe..
Shahrukh Khan: The toss does not play a major factor. There were two good teams and the team that played the better cricket won the game. We have stuck to the same team for 3-4 years more or less, so that builds the trust. We are not a result oriented team, yes we have won a lot of games this season but even if we lose our morale won't change. The next four days will be to relax, prepare and be ready for the final.
Baba Indrajith: No regrets (in opting to bowl). We should have fielded better. We are dropping crucial catches. It's tough to make a comeback. We should pick wickets at crucial junctures. In the last 3-4 matches, we have been poor in the field. Boopathi gave the impetus, but one of the top-order batters should bat through. That was one helluva shot from him (Sarath Kumar), especially that switch hit. We were in a bad situation but we gave them a scare which shows that we have batting depth.
B Sachin | Player of the Match: Have a lot of self motivation, even the captain motivates me. I have a look at lot of videos and keep my mindset clear. I just played my game. My role is to play anchor and bat till the end.
M Mohammed: Very happy. Been a privilege to play under Shahrukh Khan. Everyone's happy in the team. We were in awe when Sachin was striking the ball. The team environment is superb, there are no issues. Everyone's happy. The youngsters are stepping up in every game. Happy (to take 50 TNPL wickets), want to pick more wickets.

22:56 Local Time, 17:26 GMT: The chase never started for Dindigul Dragons till impact sub Sarath Kumar walked out to the middle. They were struggling and it was almost like a snoozefest until that point. But Sarath Kumar woke everyone up with his power-hitting. He only dealt in sixes and struck 8 of them while on his way to recording the fastest fifty of the season. He reached the milestone off 18 balls and gave Dindigul a glimmer of hope, but he was left with too much to do and they fell short by 30 runs. The rest of the batting was just ordinary in such a big game but the main reason they lost the contest was when Lyca Kovai Kings notched up a massive 192 on the board.

V Yudheeswaran to Chakaravarthy, FOUR, Lyca Kovai Kings are through to the final. They win by 30 runs. Full pitcher outside off, Chakaravarthy swings hard and slices it off the outer half wide of backward point

V Yudheeswaran to Saravana Kumar, out Caught by Shahrukh Khan!! Second wicket for Yudheeswaran. Another off-speed delivery around off, the length was full and Kumar was able to get under it, but did not generate enough power to clear long-off and Shahrukh takes a simple catch. Saravana Kumar c Shahrukh Khan b V Yudheeswaran 2(3)
V Yudheeswaran to Saravana Kumar, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
19.4
V Yudheeswaran to Saravana Kumar, 2 runs, off-pace delivery and Kumar mistimes the loft to deep mid-wicket, just a brace
19.3
V Yudheeswaran to Saravana Kumar, no run, slower angled outside off, Kumar swings through the line and misses
P Saravana Kumar, right handed bat, comes to the crease
19.2
V Yudheeswaran to C Sarath Kumar, out Lbw!! Kumar's pyrotechnics come to an end. What a knock! 26-ball 62 and he walks off to a standing ovation. Yudheeswaran stays round the wicket and nails the yorker on leg-stump, Kumar shuffles across and fails to get any bat, struck right in front of the stumps and the only thing to check was whether the ball pitched in-line with the stumps, it did and was crashing into leg-stump. C Sarath Kumar lbw b V Yudheeswaran 62(26) [4s-1 6s-8]
