This game had all the ingredients to be a thriller. But Scotland fell well short. Even when Greaves and Sole were batting, Lanka weren't breathing easy. That is how Scotland kept fighting but they lost too many early wickets in the chase for them to stage a proper comeback. Speaking about comebacks, Windies need to script a massive one to even think of a place in the finale. Sri Lanka have their fate in their own hands. Scotland and Netherlands will throw in their hats as well. Zimbabwe would want to give their home fans more reasons to be happy. Oman would also want to entertain everyone. The Super Sixes to follow. We will be there to detail everything to you. KAD saying goodbye in the esteemed company of Saurabh Shankar.
Dasun Shanaka | Sri Lanka captain: All the boys are excited for the next round. These two points were very crucial. The wicket was not easy to bat on compared to the other wickets. Credit to Nissanka and Asalanka. Collapses happen. We play positive cricket. Playing positively and getting out not a problem for us. Theekshana and Hasaranga always do the job for us. DdS and myself are there to bowl for the fifth bowling option. Chameera is also injured.
Richie Berrington | Scotland captain: We were looking to utilise the early movement. Didn't manage to capitalise much. Was a fantastic effort in the last 15 overs to bowl them out under 250. We tried to be really smart with our fielding. The wicket was a little slower today. Greaves has come into the attack slightly earlier as well. But it has always depended on the situations. We were up with the rate all the way through. Disappointing that we fell so many runs short. Not our day with the bat. We will look to come back strong in the next game.
Maheesh Theekshana | Player of the Match: When I batted, the wicket was a bit sloppy. We wanted to bowl stump to stump, and with our variation we knew we could get them out. The first two three balls I kept it wider, but then I kept it wicket to wicket. I think my strength is bowling with the new ball, my team is using that well. We knew we had 10 overs to bat when I walked out, so I wanted to play till the end and get that extra 20-30 runs.

15:14 Local Time, 13:14 GMT, 18:44 IST: Scotland would be disappointed. They had a little chance. But they have thrown this away. They have lost this by 82 runs. Lankan spinners like the Scottish ones came to the party. Hasaranga and Theekshana picked up five wickets between them to break the back of the Scottish middle-order. Sri Lanka would have been under pressure after being bowled out for 245. But they have roared back in style. They have won four on the bounce in the league stages and go into the super sixes by topping this group. That would please them. Good chances for them to make it to the main round. Scotland would be pleased with their performances but would be gutted to have lost today. Stay tuned for the presentation...
