That's it from this encounter. So, in the five matches that have been played so far, the team chasing has lost on four occasions. Perhaps an indication that batting gets a bit difficult in the second innings. Well, it’s a double-header and MI New York have opted to bat against Los Angeles Knight Riders. Switch tabs to follow the action. See you there...
Moises Henriques: 30 off the 40 overs went to plan. We could have got 10-15 runs more with the way Shorty (Matthew Short) set us off. The way they batted in their last 5 overs was opposite to us. Other than Bravo and Shorty, the others didn't find any sort of timing. We could have executed better and from the captaincy point of view, could have looked at a few more options.
Faf du Plessis: It was one of those wickets where it wasn't easy to bat on. Matthew Short was one guy who made it look easy. It was brilliant to see DJ Bravo bringing out the calypso flavour and playing that way. We lost too many wickets in the powerplay, when you are chasing such a target you need to get off to a good start.
Matthew Short | Player of the Match: My game plan in the first game was to attack. The game plan today was to take the gears down a bit and it worked for me. The new ball came on nicely, bit on the slower side but it was good.
19:13 Local Time, 00:13 GMT, 05:43 IST: A spectacular hand from Bravo almost led his side to the finish line! Perhaps a few cameos from other batters would have been good enough for Texas but it wasn't to be. Chasing 164, Texas got off to a poor start as Jansen and Netravalkar were on the money with the new ball. Conway departed for a golden duck and Faf holed out to long-on attempting a big hit. There were no fireworks from Miller today as Piedt got the better of him. The other batters struggled for rhythm and the visitors kept taking wickets at regular intervals to push the hosts on the back foot. Bravo walked in when his side was precariously placed at 50/5. He took his time but once he got his eye in, he tonked them big. He kept running out of partners but kept going strong and went past his fifty. 27 runs were needed off the final over and DJ Bravo was left with too much to do. He found the boundary ropes thrice and finished off with a six but Texas fell short by a small margin. Stick around for the presentations...

Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, SIX, Dwayne Bravo finishes with a maximum but Texas fall just short. A slot ball, Dwayne Bravo smashes it down the ground to clear the fence. Customary handshakes all around. Got to feel for Dwayne Bravo, he played a blinder but couldn't get his side across the line
19.5
Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, FOUR, pacy back of a length ball, Dwayne Bravo makes room and flat-bats it down the ground. Long-off dives to his right but can't cut it off
19.4
Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, no run, that's the game for Washington if Nortje doesn't bowl an illegal delivery. Low full toss around leg stump, drilled towards long-off
17 needed off 3 balls
19.3
Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, 2 runs, slower short of length ball, pulled towards deep mid-wicket where a fumble from Phillips results in an extra run. Dwayne Bravo manages to keep strike
There's a conference between Nortje, Henriques, and Hosein. FIne leg and third man are up
19.2
Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, SIX, 19 needed off 4 balls! Dwayne Bravo is turning back the clock. Slower back of a length ball that sits nicely for Dwayne Bravo. He stands tall and nails the pull over cow corner for a 92m six
19.1
Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, 2 runs, back of a length ball, Bravo mistimes the pull over wide mid-on. He calls for two and Mohsin manages to back it in time
Coetzee is walking off due to the injury to his hand. There's a conversation between Nortje and Henriques. Texas need 27 off the last over
18.6
Marco Jansen to Dwayne Bravo, 1 run, in the air... but safe! Slower one outside off, Dwayne Bravo tries to hit it hard and loses his shape. The ball flies off the outer half towards covers. The fielder moves across to his right but can't reach it
