So that's it from this one. Until next time, it's goodbye!
Klaasen, Player of the Match: Especially tonight, it was picking my bowlers to hit and it worked in my favour. It's something I've enjoyed over the last couple of years (facing me). Sometimes it feels they're scared to bowl to me. I'm just cashing in on it at the moment. In the powerplay we don't want to expose us too early (himself and Pooran).
Maharaj: Just felt a little niggle. Will assess tomorrow and take it from there. I should be okay. Sunrisers did it really well last year - playing very well at home. Klaasen was phenomenal today.
Pollard: It was a very good game. It was always going to be a challenge on a small ground - on one side. Maybe could've got 10-15 runs more on a track like that. But can't fault the guys from a batting perspective.
Not the finish we wanted but it was still a very fun game to watch. Rickelton played a superb knock earlier in the day, and a late flourish from Pollard took MI Cape Town to their highest score in SA20. But Heinrich Klaasen blazed away in the run chase, propelling the Super Giants ahead of the DLS par score before the rains came.
21:58 Local Time, 19:58 GMT, 01:28 IST: Play has been called off. Durban Super Giants win by 11 runs by DLS method. Would have been great if the match came to a conclusion on the field as things seemed to be getting interesting after that Klaasen dismissal. There was an opportunity for MI Cape Town to strike back at the lower order. But you can't fight the rain. You can only be thankful that it didn't interrupt the show put on by Klaasen. What a tremendous knock it was from him, scoring 85 off just 35 balls with 8 sixes and 4 fours.
21:04 Local Time, 19:04 GMT, 00:34 IST: Play has been stopped because of rain. Umpires tried their best to play through it but it kept getting heavier, and the covers are now being brought on.
