[b]null[/Unfortunately, weather has won over cricket once again in Thiruvananthapuram. Incessant rain has forced today's warm-up match to be called off without a ball being bowled. So that's both India matches falling prey to bad weather and they'll now travel to Chennai where they'll face Australia in their opening WC encounter on the 8th. Netherlands will switch focus to their Pakistan match which will be played in Hyderabad on the 6th. The tournament begins with the 2019 finalists on show at the Narendra Modi Stadium on the 5th. Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and bye..

13:25 local, 07:55 GMT: Oops! Not a great update to start with
13:20 local, 07:50 GMT: Hello, hello. It's the wrap day for warm-ups and 6 teams will be in action today. In Thiruvananthapuram, it's hosts India taking on Netherlands who displayed a decent fight with the ball against Australia last week. Unfortunately for the hosts, their game against England got washed out due to incessant rain in Guwahati. Rohit, at the toss in the previous warm-up fixture, did highlight that he "wanted to make sure that the guys stay fresh for the 8th of October". So, not a great deal of stress for the home team you'd think. As for Netherlands, they would be eager to test themselves against one of the torunament's favourites and expect them to give it all with great deal of enthusiasm.
Netherlands Squad: Vikramjit Singh, Max ODowd, Wesley Barresi, Bas de Leede, Colin Ackermann, Sybrand Engelbrecht, Scott Edwards(w/c), Logan van Beek, Shariz Ahmad, Aryan Dutt, Roelof van der Merwe, Teja Nidamanuru, Paul van Meekeren, Ryan Klein, Saqib Zulfiqar
