Fittingly, it's 1-1 right now and the decider will be on Tuesday. That game will also mark the closure of the multi-format series between these sides. Both teams will be raring to go and that should be an absolute cracker. Do remember to join us for that. Same time, same place. Cheers!!
Kim Garth | Player of the Match: Absolutely delighted, I think Annabel and Georgia bowled superbly. To get a few overs up top and get my rewards was really pleasing. Bowler friendly conditions tonight, the ball did the talking and I just tried to keep the stumps in play and lucky for me, it came off tonight. It's not always nice place to bowl in India, I am just trying to evolve and give my best for this team.
Alyssa Healy | Australian skipper: We probably still didn't execute as well as we would have liked, but nice to get a win and take it to the decider. The average score is around 145, so we knew that if we keep them under 140 that would give us a good chance with the bat. I have actually seen Garth taken a fifer in WPL, and she absolutely loves these conditions. We just need to be more clinical, the bowlers responded really well but the batters got a few things to work on.
Harmanpreet Kaur | Indian skipper: The score wasn't enough, still our bowlers did well and we took it till the 19th over which was our biggest positive. We need to think about the areas we need to improve. We were thinking 150 would be a good total, but we kept losing wickets and Australia bowled really nicely as well. These close games give you areas you need to improve and keep doing the right things. We have seen these type of games a lot of times and this time we have so many new faces and we will definitely improve (as a team) with experience.
Ellyse Perry: Lovely to get the win in the end. Nice comeback for us, the other night India played very well. For us to comeback and put up such a brilliant effort, in the fielding effort as well, was sensational. It's a great learning opportunity for us, to get a chance to bowl first and we just didn't do enough the other night. I think wickets are crucial in that powerplay, once we get past that phase it gets a little bit easier. Having wickets is so important, probably 160 is a par score here. It's a special privilege (talking about playing her 300th international game for Australia). it kinda crept up on me on the last couple of days. Huge privilege and honour and heat to play with these girls its amazing. At the moment I am loving every opportunity.
22:05 local, 16:35 GMT, 22:05 IST: As witnessed in the previous game, a score around 130-140 was never going to be enough on this surface keeping the dew factor in mind. That said, Australia were off to a splendid start and backed up their brilliant bowling show by gaining firm control over the run chase with timely boundaries. They never let the required rate pressure get to them and Perry ensured she was there till the very end to help her team get past the winning line. Litchfield once again played an impactful knock and that would please plenty of Australian fans given the hype around her talent and temperament.
