Trichy were always behind the rate and kept losing wickets regularly. The pitch wasn't a belter to bat on, and the target of 161 was a competitive one with the ball not coming on that well for the batters. It was only Shivam Singh who really stood out with the bat from both teams, scoring a superb 78 off just 51 balls. His knock should've set Dindigul up for a score around 180, but a hat-trick from Easwaran - who finished with a six-fer - helped Trichy claw back into the contest. However, their batters couldn't really get going against a quality attack.
