Bangladesh as a side keep making big strides. This series win another feather in their cap. Not easy to beat West Indies in their own backyard in the shortest format of the game. The last game of the series is on the 20th of this month. Do join us then. For now we are signing off. See you soon. Bye.
Litton Das | Bangladesh captain: I'm very happy, not only me but all the Bangladeshi people. We were looking at such a win. When I faced the first-ball I knew it was very difficult to bat on this pitch, thanks to Shamim, he batted really well. Credit goes to all the bowlers. When we take wickets, whoever come to the bowling they give us wickets. It's all about a team effort. We are in the good flow at the moment and we have to come and play good cricket again.
Rovman Powell | West Indies captain: [on the toss call to bowl first] At the start we made the right decision. When we look at how we get out, we have to rectify that. We felt that it is a different pitch, in the past it was low and slow, now a little bit more grass cover, felt it will come on. Disappointing, as a batting group we have let down ourselves miserably in the last few series. We have to reflect on things individually and then look at it collectively. The bowlers did well but as a batting group we have not come to the party and we are struggling to put in a complete game. It's just a case of playing for the people of the Caribbean now more than ever. We have made some strides as a team in this format, these last few series have put us back, takes us back to the days when the past West Indies sides who struggled.
Shamim Hossain | Player of the Match: I'm so very happy, after a long time I have been back in the national team, I'm happy. My role is a finisher in the team and my role is to hit the ball. Last few months I have worked hard.
23:55 Local Time, 03:55 GMT, 09:25 IST: Historic series win for Bangladesh. First time for them since 2018 against West Indies in this format. Their head coach - Phil Simmons is all smiles.
