14:17 Local Time, 09:17 GMT, 14:47 IST: The covers are still firmly in place. The umpires are out there inspecting conditions but it doesn't look great. They're all holding umbrellas so that gives us a fair idea of how things are out there.
Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. That was a discourse of great variety and interest. Now, we turn our attention back to this game and Rawalpindi where unfortunately, conditions haven't seemingly improved.
Govind Singh Shekhawat: I think Pakistan is not that a bad team. They are getting flack for getting defeated by New Zealand and India team, who are playing exceptional cricket. They need to think away from Babar and Rizwan for some time, entire responsibility should not be given to two individuals.
Ali Sath: Pakistan need a better spinner to partner Abrar Ahmed as it would open up more options for the side, Shadab Khan would be a perfect option as he can bat and bowl and been getting in good form in first class cricket
Mayank Thakker: Pakistan’s fielding in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been disappointing, with costly drops and misfields putting them on the back foot. To turn things around, they need to prioritize intensive fielding drills, improve fitness levels for better agility, and bring in specialized coaches.
Elavarasan Muthukrishnan: They should play according to the situation, but not old age cricket template. Yesterday we can see Zadran played some shots even after losing 3 wkts as well. Have to play Babar at No.3 , Saud Shakeel/Usman Khan can open. Hasnain in, Rauf out.
Dnyanesh: Backing Rizwan and Babar again?.I dont think so, Pakistan have lot more Domestic players like Sahibzada Farhan, Hasebullah Khan. Also Shadabs exclusion is still a mystery
Omkaar: Both team should opt for fearless approach today as there is nothing to lose. They might find their mojo back in this dear rubber, especially Pakistan.
B Rakesh: To win the game Pakistan must play some positive cricket and Bangladesh senior players must produce some valuable innings together.
Tushar: I believe Bangladesh tends to perform as underdogs on pitches that are slow and low. However, if today’s match is played on a flat track, it should be an easy win for Pakistan.
Vedant Deshpande: Both teams have talented players but need structural improvements, tactical innovation, and mental resilience to return to consistent winning ways
Hamdan: Pak is lacking clarity of roles in batting order, they need to be agressive in the field too and moreover, they should play with positive mindset and try and reduce the percentage of dot balls in the powerplay.
Aayush: Pakistan cricket team should look forward to building up a side for 2027 CWC. They need to back Babar and Rizwan at 3/4 and opt for genuine openers. Usman Khan should be given a chance as he has got potential to play Fakhar kind of role. Maybe change the fast bowling as well with Hasnain into side.
